Typical Food of Bali


Bali Island is known to have many cultural arts and natural wealth that is so beautiful and fascinating. Bali has many beautiful beaches are very stunning. So no wonder many local and foreign tourists choosing Bali as a place to spend the holidays with keluaga or friends. Besides beaches, Balinese food is also an attraction for tourists to visit Bali. There are many Balinese food that must be tried, such as Chicken Betutu Bali, Serombotan, Rice Jinggo, and Jaja Bali.

  • Chicken Betutu an iconic Balinese food. Chicken Betutu is a side dish made from chicken or duck stuffed full of spices, and baked. Betutu also used as offerings in religious rites and ceremonies.
  • Serombotan is Klungkung side dishes typical of the region, made from vegetable or fruit young botor nails, sprouts, and cabbage are cooked half-baked. Then called Kalas flavored consisting of coconut milk, turmeric, galangal, red and white onions, cilantro and kencur. Kalas that is the hallmark of serombotan, when served sprinkled with fried beans and rice.
  • Rice Jinggo cat similar to rice in Java. But the difference is added to the rice Jinggo tempeh, eggs, and tofu.
  • Jaja Bali is moist cakes Balinese. The flavors tend to be sweet cakes in Bali, because the Balinese love of sugary foods. Usually to make sweetener cake, the Bali making of palm sugar or regular sugar meraka call Bali. Wet cakes Balinese is mostly found in the traditional market.
